My photographs aim to encourage an emotional response from the viewer
based on the silent exchange between viewer and landscape.
My wedding images take on a more contempory feel to them but also incorporate
the excitement and drama of that special day.
Initially I went to this location, on the Northumberland coast, with a view of photographing Bamburgh Castle but because of its popularity there were numerous photographers trying the same thing. The castle was to the south of me so I turned around looking north and saw this shot which I just couldn’t resist!
The sun was setting on the west but cast its glourious colours over the sea. I used a long exposure and, along with the lone piece of driftwood, produced an image of peace and tranquility.
